Frederick, Md. – Braedon Fausnaught tossed six scoreless innings, leading Harford to a 6-0 victory over the Frederick Cougars in the opening game of Saturday's doubleheader.
Fausnaught scattered three hits and tied his career high with eight strikeouts in the contest to move to 3-1 on the year.
Camden Cregger (1 IP, 0 ER) sealed the deal in the seventh, sitting the Cougars down in order to complete the combined shutout.
The Fighting Owls scored all six of their runs on extra base hits.
Lou Testa put Harford on the board first in the third with a three-RBI triple, while
Matthew Shilling's RBI-double and
Spencer Harbert's two-run homer doubled Harford's lead to 6-0 in the fifth.
Harford improves to 19-5 (8-1 Md Juco) after the win. Frederick drops to 14-8.
