Bel Air, Md. – Harford starter
Blake James held Bryant & Stratton scoreless through four innings, while the Fighting Owls offense grabbed seven runs in that same stretch, leading to a 12-7 win over the Cougars in game one of Sunday's doubleheader.
Harford, who made the trip down to Bryant & Stratton to begin the year, scored seven of their 12 runs off something other than a hit.
Reyce Curnane's two-RBI triple,
Zach Smith's solo homer, and
Justin Brown's two-RBI double highlighted Harford's nine hits in the contest.
James (5 IP, 2 ER) picked up his second win of the year after another strong performance. He surrendered just six hits and struck out four in the outing.
Harford improves to 21-5 after the win. Bryant & Stratton sinks to 7-24.
