Bel Air, Md. – Harford women's tennis just missed out on its first win of the season, dropping a 5-4 match with Kutztown University on Tuesday afternoon at the Harford Tennis Complex.
Harford sinks to 0-8, while Kutztown improves to 3-9.
How it Happened
Maria Rey and
Noemi Aguirre secured points in doubles and singles action. The pair topped the Golden Bears in No. 1 doubles, then later claimed straight set victories in No. 1 and No. 2 singles play.
Sofia Samra secured Harford's fourth point in No. 4 singles after battling past Kutztown's Sarah Greboski, 6-4, 6-3.
Faith Hill and
Kelly Hudak nearly forced a third set in their singles matches, but the Golden Bears managed to steal straight set wins. Hill also dropped a close match in No. 3 doubles alongside
Camila Lopez.
