Hagerstown, Md. – Harford struck for five runs in the fourth and three more in the seventh, but the Hagerstown Hawks held on to defeat the Fighting Owls, 12-8, on Wednesday evening in game two of their doubleheader.
In what looked to be a repeat of their first meeting, Hagerstown held a 7-0 lead heading into the fourth. This time Harford responded, driving home five runs from six hits, including an RBI-double by
Erica James and a two-run homer off the bat of
Sam Beeler.
Unfortunately, the Hawks matched Harford's offensive burst with five of their own runs over the next two innings, then held off a potential seventh inning comeback to seal the victory.
