Arnold, Md. – After a hard-fought victory over Onondaga in yesterday's semifinals, No. 1 Harford looks to claim the first NJCAA women's lacrosse national championship in program history in Sunday's final at Siegert Field.
Standing in Harford's way are the Anne Arundel Riverhawks, hosts of this year's tournament. Anne Arundel defeated the defending champion Monroe CC Tribunes on Saturday to advance into the final.
Sunday's contest will mark the first time that two Region 20 teams face each other in the National Championship game.
Opening draw is set to take place at noon.

- Harford is 7-13 when facing Anne Arundel since 2009. Four of the Fighting Owls wins against the Riverhawks have come over the last two seasons.
- Harford defeated Anne Arundel 26-13 away from home and 21-9 in Bel Air during the regular season. The Riverhawks, however, took down the Fighting Owls in overtime in the Region 20 Championship final at Howard just eight days ago.

- In her seventh season with the program, Harford head coach Nikki Murphy has her team in the national championship picture for the sixth time in her career. Her 57 wins as the lead women for the Fighting Owls are the most in program history.
- Harford's 13-1 mark in 2019 sits only behind the 14-4 record set by the 2016 women's lacrosse for the most wins in program history.
- Leading the Fighting Owls on offense is freshman Sarah Dudick and sophomore Beth Bishop. Dudick leads the NJCAA with 67 goals, while the veteran Bishop sits first in the conference with 30 assists.
- The Fighting Owls are averaging just over 20 goals per game.
- Harford's defense has also performed well this season, causing an NJCAA leading 180 turnovers while limiting teams to 8.92 goals per game.
