Keyser, W.Va. – The No. 1 seed Fighting Owls scored eight runs in the second inning, leading to an eventual 10-0 shutout victory over the No. 2 Potomac State Catamounts, Saturday afternoon at the Region 20 Tournament.

Nolan Charlton sparked the monster inning. A pair of walks and a hit batsman drove home three more runs before
Spencer Harbert cleared the bases with a grand slam to make it 8-0 Harford. Harbert came through again with an RBI-single in the sixth to drive the Fighting Owls lead to 9-0, and Potomac State would balk in the final run of the game to give Harford a mercy rule victory.

Braeden Fausnaught (5.1 IP, 0 ER) held Potomac State in check for the second time this season, allowing just three hits while striking out 10 to earn the win.
Mitch Hoon finished the game out in the sixth, sitting a pair of Catamounts down on strikes.
Harford moves to 45-7 on the season. Potomac State drops to 30-10.
