BEL AIR, Md. – Harford suffered a heartbreaking defeat to Frederick on Thursday night, falling 3-1 to the Cougars inside the AGFCU Arena.
Maria Lopez shined in the loss, racking up 10 kills and 21 digs.
Maddy Weyer tallied a team leading 24 assists and
Gabrielle Pfaff led the Fighting Owls in digs (22).
Harford sinks to 3-5 (3-2 Md. Juco) after the loss while Frederick bumps up to 4-2 (3-2).

The Fighting Owls claimed a dramatic opening set, rallying from a 22-15 deficit to win 26-24. Struggling to find her groove early, sophomore
Katelyn Berger rounded into form and scored three critical kills to give Harford an early advantage.
Frederick mounted their own comeback to take set two. Down 23-16, the Cougars picked up the next five, then fought off two potential set winning points for Harford en route of a 26-24 win.
After taking a close third set, Frederick clawed its way out of a 22-17 hole with an 8-1 run to secure the match.
