COLUMBIA, Md. – Harford men's basketball had its win streak snapped at the hands of a conference foe, falling to the Howard Dragons, 88-55, Tuesday evening at Howard.
The Fighting Owls faced a familiar foe in former head coach Mike Smelkinson, who led the men in blue for five seasons. This is the first meeting between Harford's former head man and current Harford head coach
Dimitrios Jelen-Joy, who served as an assistant under Smelkinson for three seasons.
Redshirt freshman forward
Anthony Ifeacho led Harford on the floor with 13 points and 11 rebounds, the first double-double of his college career.
The Fighting Owls move to 6-12 (2-2 MD JUCO) after the loss, while Howard improves to 13-3 (5-0).
Turning Point
Harford pulled within 16 points of the lead five minutes into the second half, but Howard grabbed 16 of the next 19 to put the contest out of reach.
