CUMBERLAND, Md. – The Harford men's basketball team goes head first into postseason play when they take on the Allegany Trojans in Saturday's Region 20 Division I semifinal.
While the Trojans have the advantage of playing on their home court, it was the Fighting Owls who earned a historic victory the last time the two teams clashed in Cumberland.

Series History
- Harford and Allegany have split their last six meetings since 2016. The Fighting Owls took the first two contests, as the Trojans put together a trio of victories through the 2017-2019 seasons.
- The Fighting Owls defeated the Trojans, 91-77, in the two teams' lone contest back on December 3.
- Harford's defeat of Allegany marks its first road triumph over the Trojans in the program's modern era (2008-present).

- Head Coach Dimitrios Jelen-Joy is in his first year as head coach of the Fighting Owls.
- Christian Sweazie (14.7 ppg.) and Joshua Foote (11.7 ppg.) are the leading scorers for Harford. The duo combined for 37 points during their meeting with Allegany earlier this season.
- Kyle Harkins and Anthony Ifeacho have come on as of late. Over the last six games, Harkins has averaged 16 points per game. Meanwhile, Ifeacho has added 11 ppg. and 7.5 rebounds in the past four contests.

- Head coach Tommie Reams is in his seventh season as the lead man for the Trojans.
- Allegany's Imhotep George has been their constant this season. The freshman is top 10 in four statistical categories in the MD JUCO Conference, including a team leading points per game (18.4), rebounds (7.3), blocks (2.0) and three pointers made (71). In George's first game against Harford, he scored 19 points but was held to 31% shooting.
- The Trojans' have been winning the battle of the boards this year, pulling down almost a half-dozen more rebounds per game than their opponents. Allegany has also enforced its will in the paint, as their 5.8 blocks per game is good enough for second in the conference.
