BEL AIR, Md. – Harford baseball provided more late game fireworks on Sunday, as
Braydon Parr's RBI single to left in the seventh lifted the Fighting Owls to a 7-6 victory over of the Monroe Mustangs in game one of a doubleheader.
Harford held a 3-0 lead after three, but the Mustangs came raging back taking a 4-3 advantage in the top of the fourth inning. Harford would eventually take back control in the bottom half, with
Tom Brosnahan driving in a pair Fighting Owls as part of a three-run fourth.
Monroe spoiled plans of closing the game out in the top of the seventh with a two-run home run that tied the game at 6-6.
Carter Heller (2-1) got the call from the bullpen shortly after, forcing the lone Mustang he faced to ground out in order to set up Parr's heroics.
Harford elevates to 9-3 on the season with the win as Monroe dips to 4-8.
