KEYSER, W.V. - The Potomac State Catamounts scored two goals in the final five minutes, handing Harford its first road loss via 4-3 scoreline on Thursday afternoon.
The Fighting Owls got on the board in the third minute of the game, as a cross into the box found
Lexy Balsamo. Balsamo slid a pass before being taken down to
Lauren Westbrook, who would tuck home a strike to give the women in blue a 1-0 lead.
Potomac State tied the game at 1-1 20 minutes later, then both teams scored again shortly before half for a 2-2 scoreline headed into the break. Harford's goal came via a
Sarah Barnes free kick that found the head of Westbrook for her second goal of the day.
Barnes struck again with a long goal for Harford midway through the second half to put the Fighting Owls on top again. It was the Catamounts who had the last laugh however, punching home chances in the 85th and 88th minute to seal the win.
Harford is 4-3-1 after the defeat.
