BRYN MAWR, Pa. - In its first East District Tournament game in program history, No. 4 seed Harford defeated the No. 1 seed Harcum Bears via a 2-1 scoreline on Saturday.
Harcum, who came into the contest 11-0 and ranked 10th in the nation, went down 2-0 early on goals from
Philipp Gall (12' minute) and
Kye Williams (28' minute). Harford sat back and held possession from there, locking down the Bears offense for the entire first half. Harcum eventually cut the deficit in half on penalty kick, but Harford stood tall the rest of the way to see earn the victory.
The Fighting Owls are now 15-4 on the season.

Harford moves on to Saturday's final to face Montgomery away from home at 5 p.m.
This is the third time the Raptors and Fighting Owls will meet this season and the first time Harford makes the trip to Rockville since its Region 20 Tournament loss to Montgomery last spring.
