BEL AIR, Md. – The Fighting Owls took game one of a doubleheader on Sunday, earning a 7-2 victory over the Lackawanna Falcons inside the Harford Sports Complex.
Lackawanna took a 2-0 lead in the first, but a home run from leadoff batter
Joe Quelch cut the deficit in half. After a scoreless second, Quelch stepped up again with a two RBI-double to put Harford up 3-1 after three.
The Fighting Owls gained some insurance runs in the fourth, as
Ethan Kiple scored on
Brelon Harden's single and a fielding error.
Reyce Curnane broke the game open two batters later, torching a pitch to right for a three-run home run to give Harford a commanding 7-2 lead.

After a strong effort from starter
Cameron Kalandros (3.2 IP, 7 K's), reliever
Joe Clancy carried the torch to the finish line on the mound. The redshirt freshman tossed 3 1/3 innings of no-hit baseball, tossing aside six Falcons via strikeout to earn the save.
Harford heads to 8-1-1 with the win, while Lackawanna falls to 4-2.
