BEL AIR, Md. – Redshirt sophomore outfielder
Ajay Sczepkowski belted four hits and five RBI, powering the Fighting Owls to a 13-2 win and a sweep of Anne Arundel, Tuesday night inside the Harford Sports Complex.
After the Riverhawks went up 1-0 in the first, Sczepkowski drove home
Joe Quelch in the bottom half of the inning to tie the game. A two-run bomb from
Zach Smith just a few batters later turned the keys to the lead back over to Harford for good.
Sczepkowski struck again in the second, this time via a long ball that plated three to inflate Harford's advantage up to 7-1. A five-run third and Sczepkowski's RBI-double in the fourth pushed it to 13-1, with the Fighting Owls surrendering one final run to Anne Arundel before
John Silder forced a groundout to end the game.
Harford shoots up to 2-0 (2-0 MD JUCO) with the win, while Anne Arundel falls to 0-2 (0-2 MD JUCO).
