BEL AIR, Md. - Just two days removed from their non-conference showdown, the Fighting Owls took down the Hagerstown Hawks 4-0 in MD JUCO play.
Rebekah Cross opened up the scoring in the 10th minute on an assist by
Lauren Westbrook. Westbrook then found the back of the net herself in the 41st to double Harford's lead heading the break.
The second half turned into the
Rylee Kluge show, as the freshman forward tucked home chances in the 58th and 73rd minute.
Becky Brittell and the Harford defense continued to hold back the Hagerstown front line, with Brittell turning away eight shots over 90 minutes to earn her first collegiate shutout.
The Fighting Owls stand at 2-0 (1-0 MD JUCO) after the victory.
