BEL AIR, Md. - Harford suffered its first loss of 2021 this Thursday, falling 3-0 to the Essex Knights inside the Harford Sports Complex.

Ben Cook. The frosh keepers stellar performance kept the score at 0-0 after 45 minutes.
A controversial red card was issued to
Alexis Garcia two minutes into the second half, as the freshman midfielder collided with an Essex player in which the head official deemed a studs up tackle from the Fighting Owl.This left Harford a man down for the majority of the second half, with Cook holding off the Essex attack with incredible stops until Andy Portillo broke the tie with a blast into the bottom left corner in the 67th minute.
The Knights took advantage of shorthanded Harford late, pushing through two goals in the 81st and 83rd to seal the game.
Harford is now 3-1 (3-1 MD JUCO) this season.
