BEL AIR, Md. - Sarah Barnes scored her second goal of the year on Saturday and
Becky Brittell made 16 saves, but Harford fell on the wrong end of a 4-1 scoreline to Mercer County on Saturday afternoon at home.
Barnes goal was sandwiched between two first half goals and a pair of second half scores by the Vikings. Mercer County struck 11 minutes into the contest and doubled their lead 16 minutes later to take a 2-0 advantage into the break.
After Barnes strike cut Harford's deficit in half, it was Mercer who would earn a penalty kick in the 76th minute to reinstall it's two goal lead. A fourth score with just four minutes left to play finished the job for the Vikings.
The Fighting Owls are now 2-2 on the year.
