Harford Drops Half-Dozen Goals on Potomac State

BEL AIR, Md. - Forward Kye Williams tallied his first collegiate hat trick and Harford posted its second shutout of the year, as the Fighting Owls tore apart the Potomac State Catamounts 6-0 on Thursday evening.

Williams, Harford's leading goal scorer in 2020, rocked the Catamounts with two goals in the middle of the first and a third score five minutes into the second. He now ties Alexis Garcia for the team lead in goals (five) and is in sole possession of first on the squad in points.

Tyrik Trotman scored his second goal in as many games in the 15th minute to get the scoring started for Harford. Giovane Dos Santos scored his first goal of the year via header to put the Fighting Owls up 4-0 heading into the half.

After Williams picked up his hat trick out of the break, Harford took its foot off the gas and controlled possession. Michael Gisriel put a bow on the Fighting Owls scoring efforts with a long strike in the 73rd. From their, Emanuele Moretti (five saves), Dan Tridone and the rest of the Harford defense saw out of the rest of the contest to earn Moretti his first collegiate win between the pipes.
