BEL AIR, Md. - Four Fighting Owls chipped in one goal each, leading to a 4-2 victory over the Southern Maryland (CSM) Hawks, Thursday evening inside the Harford Sports Complex.
Harford dominated the early proceedings, with
Sarah Barnes and
Ciara Bartz scoring early to give the Fighting Owls a 2-0 lead. CSM cut the advantage in half with eight minutes to go in the half, then scored again in the second to tie the game at 2-2 with 30 minutes to play.
The deadlock was broken just three minutes later thanks to
Madison Trevillian's goal, then another score in the 74th by
Kamrin Gravitte boosted Harford's lead back up to two. The Hawks would have no answers for the women in blue this time, mustering up just two shots in the final 15 minutes that were both saved by Harford goalkeeper
Becky Brittell
Harford is 4-2-1 (2-1 MD JUCO) with the win.
