BEL AIR, Md. - The Fighting Owls took the court for the first time in 2022, besting Hagerstown 82-72 in a non-conference bout inside the APGFCU Arena.
Leading the parliament was
Ricardo Ross, who topped all players with a season high 29 points. It's his third 20+ point performance over the last four contests and his fourth this season. The freshman split his contribution up over two halfs, scoring 14 points in the first and 15 in the second.
The Fighting Owls defense was strong on the night, holding the Hawks to an abysmal 1-for-17 mark from three. The men in blue also protected the paint well, recording a season high nine blocks.
Harford is 8-5 on the year after today's victory.
Turning Point
Hagerstown pulled within four points at the 5:54 mark in the first, but Harford pushed back with an 11-4 run to close out the half up by 12. The run was highlighted by a pair of treys from
Chandler Johnson and
Jordan Bright as well as a vicious fast break dunk by
Ricardo Ross.
