BALTIMORE, Md. – Wednesday night the Fighting Owls traveled south for a MD JUCO matchup against the Panthers of Baltimore City. The last contest between these teams ended in a 68-71 loss for the Fighting Owls during the 2018-19 season.
Going into the game, Coach Jelen-Joy and his staff encouraged their team to limit turnovers, reduce their three-point attempts, and attack the paint. That game plan would come to fruition in the second half, after the Fighting Owls found themselves up just one point at the break.
Driving to the basket and earning free throws resulted in a 59-point second half performance from the Fighting Owls. As a team, Harford would attempt just 13 shots from three-point range and cash in on 32 made free throws, a season high for the team.
Jahsiah Lamothe lead the team in points with 24, going 9-13 from the floor.
Jalyn Hickman and
Jordan Butler added to the team win with 15 points each.
Paul Mason would end the night with 8 rebounds and 4 blocks, solidifying the Harford defense and win.
