ARNOLD, Md. - Jay Kalieta tallied three hits and
Ehi Okojie chipped in two, as the Fighting Owls soared over the Anne Arundel Riverhawks, 11-5, in game two of Tuesday's doubleheader.
Okojie mashed Harford's lone long ball of the day, while Kalieta earned three base knocks and stole a trio of bases. Rounded out main offensive contributors were
Brody Levin (3 RBI) and
Cam Trego, who chipped in one double each.
Harford lead from start to finish, as
Mason Hicks doubled to put the Fighting Owls ahead 1-0 early. From there, the men in blue managed to plate at least two runs in each inning outside of a scoreless third. The game was eventually called after the sixth due to darkness with Harford on top.
Joe Grassi (1-0) pitched the fourth and was tabbed for the win, striking out three batters in an inning of work. Starter
Bobby Spencer punched out four batters in three innings, while
Ian Schools chaired six Riverhawks over the final two.
After today's sweep of Anne Arundel, Harford stands at 9-2 (4-0 MD JUCO).
