BEL AIR, Md. - With all eyes on Bel Air for No. 2 Harford's showdown with No. 1 Howard, the Fighting Ows took care of business and knocked off the Dragons 19-11 on Saturday afternoon.

Harford's defense shut out Howard for the opening 18 minutes of the contest, while the Fighting Owls offense scored five goals to put them well ahead. The Dragons finally got on the board at 12:56 in the second, but the parliament answered with a quartet of goals for a 10-1 lead. Howard picked up two more scores from there, but Trevor Sousa found the back of the net on a man-up advantage with 54 seconds to go.

Cayden Onagi hit pay dirt on a man-up goal out of the break to firmly plant Harford ahead 12-3. Howard made its biggest charge for the lead midway through the third, scoring three straight goals to pull with six, but Harford one-upped them by scoring the next four. The Dragons finally outscored the Fighting Owls (5-4) in the fourth but by then it was too little, too late.

Harford moves to 6-1 (3-0 MD JUCO) on the season.
