ROSSVILLE, Md. - The Harford men's lacrosse team captured its third consecutive Region 20 Championship on Sunday, defeating tournament host No. 3 CCBC-Essex 19-10.

Although the Fighting Owls never trailed, the Knights of Essex managed to tie the contest twice in the first quarter and once in the second. However, Harford scored four heading into the half to go up 9-5.

The Fighting Owls began separating itself from Essex in the third, outscoring the Knights 7-2 to take a 16-7 advantage into the final 15 minutes. Harford finished out the game by going goal-for-goal with Essex (3-3) to earn the title.

Taz DeLaney led the parliament's offense with a half-dozen goals. He was backed up by strong showings from Nate Surd (4 goals, 3 assists) and Cayden Onagi (3 goals, 4 assists). 

Harford's defense allowed Essex just 25 shots for the entire contest. Jake Lotz made eight saves while Steven Mancha tallied six ground balls and a trio of caused turnovers. 

The Fighting Owls move to 10-1 on the year after the victory.
