Women's Lacrosse Adam Fornwalt

Half-Dozen Fighting Owls Earn All-American Honors

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Claire AshburnCasey DiVentiJacqueline GarstCassidy PooleLauren Puntanen, and Gabby Trzeciak have been crowned NJCAA Women's Lacrosse All-Americans, as announced by the national office on Tuesday.

Claire Ashburn - Sophomore - Attacker
Ashburn led the Fighting Owls with 34 goals and 22 assists. She also topped Harford with 49 draw controls. Ashburn scored at least three goals in seven contests, including a 15-point performance in a 25-14 victory over Onondaga.

Casey DiVenti - Freshman - Midfielder
DiVenti finished third on the team in goals (24) and tied second for assists (11). She scored at least two goals in seven contests, including a quartet of performances with four goals. 

Jacqueline Garst - Freshman - Defender
Garst topped the NJCAA with 17 caused turnovers. She also led the Fighting Owls with 31 ground balls secured. Garst helped lead a Fighting Owls defense that surrendered the fewest goals per game (10.29). 

Cassidy Poole - Freshman - Attacker
Poole slotted in at second amongst Harford's attackers with 26 goals and 11 assists. The Harford Tech grad dropped seven goals on Onondaga in a win over the Lazers back in March. She also had a trick against Genesee in the national semifinal and three assists in the championship game against Onondaga.

Lauren Puntanen - Freshman - Defender
Puntanen finished second in the NJCAA with 16 caused turnovers. Alongside Garst, she limited opposing offenses to just over 10 goals per game to lead the NJCAA. She caused a half-dozen turnovers in Harford's victory over Monroe CC to start the year.

Gabby Trzeciak - Freshman - Attacker
Trzeciak tallied 23 goals and nine assists in 2022. She stepped up and poured in nine goals and an assist across Harford's two games at the NJCAA National Championship Tournament. She also netted six goals against Monroe CC.

The Fighting Owls recently wrapped their season by winning their second consecutive NJCAA National Championship.
