Bel Air, Md - The Harford Fighting Owls welcomed the Cecil College Seahawks back to the pitch in a battle of birds on Alumni Day.
The young Seahawks proved to be no match for the seasoned Fighting Owls who peppered the Seahawk keeper with 26 shots on goal and 42 total shots.
Kye Williams tallied the first goal in less than two minutes into the contest. Williams would add another goal and an assist before coming out of the game. The Fighting Owl offense would net six goals by halftime with goals from
Alexis Garcia (2 goals), Tyrik Troutman, and
Richmond Kemausuor.
Harford netted four more goals within 15 minutes of the 2nd half.
Kodjo Gaklo,
Connor Lesniewski (2 goals), and
Bayardo Vera added their names to the box score. The Seahawks managed to net a goal late in the half by Leon Njoroge following a defensive miscue.
Harford moves to 8-3 while Cecil College drops to 1-8. The Fighting Owls head into next week to face tough opponents Richard Bland College and Monroe Community College.
