BEL AIR, Md. – Friday night the Harford men's basketball team hosted region and division rival Hagerstown for the second game of a double-header. The game was also the inaugural Mental Health Awareness game for Harford basketball.

The biggest difference in the game was turnovers. Harford created 23 turnovers in the contest that translated to 26 points. The Hawks only managed 6 points off 15 turnovers. The Fighting Owls also had 29 opportunities at the free throw line, compared to Hagerstown's 15.

The contest featured only three lead changes with Harford's biggest margin coming in the second half, leading by 10 points.
Jadyn Williams lead the scoring for the Fighting Owls, ending the contest with 13 points and 3 steals.
Jahsiah Lamothe and
Kenneth Moore followed with 11 points each, Lamothe also adding 5 rebounds.

Paul Mason had another big defensive game, contributing 7 blocks. He is currently ranked 8
th in the country for NJCAA DI basketball averaging 2.9 blocks per game. An increase of .5 would see him in the top three of that category nationally. As a team, Harford is currently in the top 25 for blocks per game (5.3; 24
th).
Jahsiah Lamothe has earned a place in the top 20 for steals, averaging 2.5 per game.

There are currently 196 NJCAA DI men's basketball programs contributing stats to this season, with an estimated average roster size of 13 players. That means every player is competing against over 2,500 other student athletes for national recognition.
