BEL AIR, Md. – Over the weekend, the Fighting Owls earned their third straight win and improved their conference standings to 6-4. The contest also served as Community Day at Harford, with APGFCU arena playing host to local parks and rec programs across the county.

Throughout the first half, Harford was undeniable. The team finished the first period shooting 48% from the floor and 43% from three-point range. Jahsiah Lamothe lead the charge with 10 points on 5 of 6 with three steals. A 13-point run punctuated by two three's from Malik Carson would give the Fighting Owls the cushion it needed to coast into halftime up 45-21.

The second half would tell a different tale, but fortunately for the Fighting Owls their hard work from the first period would see them through to the finish line. Cecil would respond by shooting 50% from the floor, outscoring Harford 45-36 in the end. The largest lead for the Fighting Owls would come early in the second half, a 27-point margin that eventually dwindled to 15 by the end of regulation.

Maseo Carson would interrupt Cecil's attempt at a 12-point run with two crucial three's to avoid a damaging point swing in the contest. As the second half was winding down, Lamothe would drive home two dunks on fast breaks just two minutes apart, igniting the Fighting Owls bench and sparking the energy needed to close out the contest.

Harford's catalyst to victory was capitalizing on points off turnovers, outscoring Cecil 24 to 12. Lamothe would finish the contest with 17 points, while Paul Mason would collect his first double-double on the season with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

The Fighting Owls stand at 11-10 (6-4 in MD JUCO) after the weekend.
