CEDAR RAPIDS, IA - The Harford women's volleyball season has officially come to an end after the longest postseason run in program history. The Fighting Owls earned a trip to the NJCAA Division II Volleyball Championship after defeating Lackawanna in three sets to claim the Mid-Atlantic District Championship.
At Nationals, the team would earn the #19 seed in the tournament and face #14 Wallace State in the opening round. After three sets the Fighting Owls would find themselves 0-1 on the day and have a chance to extend their stay in the tournament through the consolation bracket. Their second contest of the tournament would be against #13 Gulf Coast State, who won their opening match against #20 Sauk Valley before being defeated by #4 Johnson County. The Fighting Owls would fall 3-0 to the Commodores, ending their postseason run and a historic first year in NJCAA DII.
Overall, Harford finished the season ranked #20 in the country with an overall record of 26-6 going 9-0 in conference play. Head Coach
