BALTIMORE, MD - Harford traveled to Baltimore City for a Division I match up against the Panthers. After a delayed start the game was underway, and Harford quickly took control of the momentum. As a team, the Fighting Owls would shoot 52% from the floor in the first half, and 44% from three. A 12-0 run halfway through the first period would give the Fighting Owls a comfortable cushion, but the Panthers would respond just in time to bring the game back to even at the half. The teams would enter the locker rooms tied at 34 points each.
The second half was a defensive performance by the Fighting Owls, earning 9 steals and forcing 18 turnovers by the Panthers. Harford would seal the win and outscore Baltimore 48-37 in the second period without making a single three-pointer.
A standout performance by
Paul Mason would lead the Fighting Owls in multiple categories. Mason would contribute 23 points, on 6-11 shooting. He'd also convert 11 of his 12 free throw attempts. Mason would tack on 5 steals, 4 blocks, and 13 rebounds to his stat sheet for an all-around performance. The only category he didn't lead was controlled by
Chandler Johnson who had 5 assists and shot 3-6 from three-point range.
Next up, Harford hosts the annual Holiday Hoops Classic on December 15 and 16. They will face CC of Beaver County and Delaware Tech during the tournament.
