BEL AIR, MD – The Fighting Owls split their double header against Lackawanna to open their 2023 home game schedule.
 
Doug Marose took the mound for Harford in game one, going three innings and allowing seven runs on six hits. Matthew Haggerty would come in to relieve the next 2.2 allowing three runs on four hits with five strikeouts. Paul Glenchur would close out the contest facing five batters and allowing no hits.
 
At the plate, Harford's offense was lead by Joey Pagano going 2-3 with 2 RBI's. Lackawanna would jump to a 7-1 lead in the third inning after a 2 RBI single and a 3 RBI homer to put the game out of reach.
 
In game two, Quinn Holt would get the start and go five innings to earn the win. He allowed one run on three hits with seven strikeouts. Austin Biddle would come in for the final two innings earning the save with only one hit and 5 strikeouts.
 
Harford would take the early lead with Randy Carlo scoring on a sac fly by Dylan Wyandt in the second inning. Shortly after, Dylan Perry would steal home to move the game to 2-0. A solo homerun for Lackawanna would be the only response, but not before an RBI single from Rueben Livingston to score Trey Cruz and closeout the contest.
 
Harford moves to 2-5 after the series. Up next, they host Anne Arundel on Tuesday February 28^th for their first MD JUCO conference matchup of 2023.
