BEL AIR, MD - In a thrilling MDJUCO soccer showdown, the Harford Fighting Owls secured a 4-2 victory against the CCBC Catonsville Cardinals. The match featured dynamic play and numerous exciting moments on the pitch for both teams.

The game kicked off with both teams showing their offensive prowess. Harford took an early lead in the 8th minute when Mikel Iniesta netted a goal, assisted by Kodjo Gaklo. However, CCBC Catonsville quickly responded, as Michael Miranda netted a goal just a minute later, leveling the score at 1-1. The first half remained evenly contested, with both teams registering shots on target. Harford had ten shots, while CCBC Catonsville managed four. The teams headed into halftime with the score still tied.

The second half witnessed a surge in scoring action. Kodjo Gaklo broke the deadlock in the 50th minute for the Fighting Owls, assisted by Rex Pearce, giving his team a 2-1 advantage. Harford continued to apply pressure, and Kian Pucher added another goal in the 61st minute to extend their lead to 3-1.

CCBC Catonsville fought back, with Giovanni Alonso finding the net in the 68th minute, narrowing the gap to 3-2. However, Harford's Phillip Gall sealed the victory with a goal in the 83rd minute, making it 4-2 in favor of the home team.

Harford Community College maintained a slight edge in total shots, recording 17 shots (8 on target), compared to CCBC Catonsville's 13 shots (8 on target). Both teams displayed solid goalkeeping, with CCBC Catonsville making four saves and Harford making six saves during the match. Harford held the advantage in corner kicks, with six compared to CCBC Catonsville's four. The game saw its fair share of fouls, with a total of 27 fouls committed by both teams. 

This victory improved Harford Community College's record to 2-0-1 for the season, while CCBC Catonsville now stands at 1-3-0.
