BEL AIR, MD - The Harford Fighting Owls celebrated the careers of eight sophomores as they hosted the College of Southern Maryland Hawks. Sophomores:
Chandler Johnson,
Ricardo Ross,
Jordan Butler,
Kevin Sanon,
Paul Mason, Jayden Williams,
Nate Lacey, and
Donovan Miller- were honored in front of their families and friends prior to tipoff. Each student athlete was presented a framed jersey to commemorate their playing careers at Harford Community College.
Coming off a tough loss from earlier in the week, the Fighting Owls set their sights on the gritty, (17-9) Southern Maryland Hawks. The contest featured high flying lineups that were sure to entertain the large crowd. The first half did not disappoint! Both teams traded leads through the first half that was highlighted by thunderous and acrobatic dunks by the Hawks' Nhine Wills and the Fighting Owls'
Nate Lacey,
Paul Mason, and
Ricardo Ross. Harford went into the halftime with a 49-44 lead.
Fueled by the day's festivities and an electric crowd, the Fighting Owls came blazing out of the locker room and never looked back. Harford shot 53% from the field, including 43% from beyond the 3pt line. Jadyen Williams,

Ty Williams set the nets on fire with several three pointers in the second half. The shooting efforts propelled Harford to the century mark for the fourth time this season. The Fighting Owls were led by
Paul Mason's double-double (21pts, 11rebs),
Chandler Johnson's team high 22pts,
Ty Williams (20pts), and
Ricardo Ross (15pts).
Next up, the Fighting Owls take on NJCAA D1 rivals, the Monroe College Mustangs on Monday, Feb. 26.
