Box Score BEL AIR, MD - Harford men's basketball hosted the Howard Dragons in an MDJUCO conference contest at APGFCU arena last night. Historically a very fun and exciting matchup, the latest installment was no different. The Owls came out strong, scoring 40 points in the first half and leading by 8 at the break, but a 46 point second half from the Dragons was narrowly enough to leave Bel Air with a victory. The Owls fall to 9-9 after the loss, while the Dragons improve to 14-5 on the year.
Howard had three players in double figures, but Andrew Mills was the star of the show finishing with 25 points including 5 of 6 from beyond the arc, as well as two perfect trips to the free throw line. Harford's scoring was more spread out with
Donovan Miller and
Nate Lacey both finishing with 13 points apiece, while
Chandler Johnson and
Ricardo Ross each finished with 12.
Paul Mason lead the way on the boards gathering 10 rebounds. The Dragons were near perfect on free throws going 13-15 from the stripe, while the Owls bench came out strong collecting 31 points outside the starting 5.
Next up, the Owls will host Chesapeake in another MDJUCO conference matchup on January 17th.
