Fighting Owls Baseball Continues Giving Tradition with Miracle League

Bel Air, Md. – October 27, 2025 — The Harford Fighting Owls baseball team partnered with the Miracle League of Harford County for a special scrimmage on Oct. 27, at the Harford Sports Complex, celebrating inclusion, teamwork and the joy of the game.

Throughout the fall, Harford student-athletes have served as mentors for Miracle League participants, but the team sought to make an even greater impact by providing a true "college game day" experience.

Miracle League athletes took the field alongside the Fighting Owls, complete with introductions over the stadium speakers, at-bats on the collegiate diamond and the chance to compete in front of cheering families and supporters. The evening highlighted the unifying spirit of sports and the meaningful relationships built between players and mentors.

The Miracle League of Harford County was founded by the Tom Walls family with the mission of ensuring that children and adults of all abilities have the chance to play baseball. The program continues to serve communities throughout Harford County and Northeastern Maryland, offering opportunities for confidence-building, connection and fun—values that were on full display during the scrimmage.
