BEL AIR, MD – On March 28, the Fighting Owls men's tennis team delivered a commanding performance on their home courts, shutting out Rowan College of Gloucester County 7-0 in a match that showcased the team's depth and cohesion.
The Fighting Owls swept all three doubles matches to secure the opening point. The duo of
Lucas Fox (Kanwal, New South Wales, Australia) and
Martin Dominguez Cerdeira (Vigo, Pontevedra, Spain) set the tone early with a strong performance at the top spot, followed by wins from
Jonathan Hii (Melbourne, Victoria, Australia) and
Jaime Godoy Gomis (Alicante, Comunidad Valenciana, Spain), as well as
Martin Puetate (Ecuador) and
Aaron Gerald, who each turned in solid efforts to complete the doubles sweep.
In singles play, Harford showed no signs of letting up. Fox led the charge with a dominant win at No. 1, followed by straight-set victories from
Unai Llerena Perez (Zamora, Michoacan, Spain),
Alejandro Rotundo (Caracas, Venezuela), Cerdeira and Puetate. Hii and Gerald rounded out the clean sweep, each securing singles wins to complete the 7-0 shutout.
