Nowaskey returns to Harford for his third season as an assistant coach, but he is no stranger to working with head coach Mike Smelkinson. 

The two go way back, to when Smelkinson was a senior in high school. Nowaskey was an assistant at Long Reach High School during Smelkinson's final season, and when the current head coach got his first gig at Marriotts Ridge High School, Nowaskey was his first call to become his assistant.

Nowaskey also spent two seasons under Smelkinson at Howard before taking the 2013-14 season off. He returns to help with the film and other technical aspects of coaching while assisting Smelkinson during in game situations.
