Nate Gilpin

    Volunteer Assistant Coach/Goalkeepers
Nate Gilpin is entering his second season as a goalkeepers coach for the Harford Men's Lacrosse program. 
 
Gilpin played at Harford in the 2011 and 2012 seasons as a goalkeeper under former Head Coach and Major League Lacrosse player, Hugh Donovan. In his career, Gilpin started 19 games and accumulated 235 saves. He was named a captain in 2012 in a season where he earned All-Conference and All-Region honors. In addition to his on-field achievements, Gilpin earned the Harford President's Award for Leadership, Academics & Athletics. After Harford, he transferred to Virginia Wesleyan College.

Gilpin played his high school lacrosse at Bel Air High School and graduated in 2010. Under his Head Coach and step-father, Scoop Kelly, who is locally known for turning the program into a perennial power in Harford County with 100 wins in just 9 seasons, Gilpin's career was highlighted by a 16-2 record his senior campaign. Gilpin was named 1st Team All-County for the Bobcats and was a captain of this 2010 UCBAC Championship team. 
 
Before high school, Gilpin was taught the Goalkeeper position by another local legend, Bruce Hart, who played a significant role in bringing lacrosse to Harford County Public Schools and to Harford Community College.
 
In addition to his experience at Harford, Gilpin coached for 4 years at Tribe Lacrosse Camp and 1 year with the RAACE (Race Against Abuse of Children Everywhere) Lacrosse Club before both organizations folded. 
 
Outside of volunteering at Harford, Gilpin works full-time in the Telecommunications industry. He currently resides in Bel Air, Maryland."
