Jennifer Leaf

Jennifer Leaf enters Harford Community College's inaugural women's flag football season as a veteran leader with more than 15 years of coaching and playing experience across youth, high school and semi-professional football.

Her foundation in coaching began at the youth level with Stembridge Recreation (2012-2018) and Parkville Recreation (2010), where she held roles ranging from assistant coach and offensive coordinator to defensive coordinator and defensive line coach. Her leadership contributed to multiple playoff runs and a championship runner-up finish.

She currently also serves on the coaching staff of the Baltimore Night Hawks women's semi-professional tackle program, where she began in 2023 as a defensive line coach and special teams assistant. After helping guide the team to a playoff semifinal appearance, she continued leading the defensive line in 2024. Elevated to defensive coordinator in 2025, Leaf maintained her work with the defensive line and helped lead the Night Hawks to an undefeated season and a D2 Conference Championship.

Leaf has six seasons of high school coaching experience from Kenwood High School (2019-2024). Starting as a junior varsity volunteer positions coach during a 3A/4A Baltimore County Championship season, she advanced to JV assistant coach and defensive coordinator. Throughout her tenure, she coached both offensive and defensive lines, coordinated special teams and served as kicking coach for both JV and varsity, including during the abbreviated 2020 season and the program's return to play in 2021.

As a player, Leaf competed with the Baltimore Burn in the Women's Football Alliance and the Women's Spring Football League from 2010-2016. She earned Rookie of the Year honors in 2010 while helping secure a division title and went on to serve as a team captain from 2011-2016. Her playing career includes All-Star recognition and contributions to Division, Conference, and National Championships in 2011, along with multiple additional division titles. A versatile athlete, she played defensive end, center, and special teams and served as a player-coach from 2012-2016.

Leaf's career reflects a strong dedication to leadership, player development and building championship-caliber programs at every level of the game.
