Marissa Kozlowski

Marissa Kozlowski was named the seventh head women’s volleyball coach in modern Fighting Owls’ history in May 2025.

Kozlowski is also entering her 12th year with Maryland Juniors and has an impressive track record of success. She has led teams to qualify for United States of America Volleyball (USAV) Nationals eight times, a testament to her skill and dedication as a coach. Her teams have earned bids to USAV Nationals at prestigious events such as the North East Qualifier and Big South Qualifier. Under her leadership, teams have achieved:
  • Two 3rd-place finishes and a 5th-place finish in the Open Division at Capitol Hill Classic in Washington, D.C.
  • A championship win at Monument City Classic in Richmond, Virginia
  • A top-5 finish while playing up an age group in the Beast of the East Division at the East Coast Classic in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
In addition to her coaching accomplishments, Kozlowski plays multiple key roles at Maryland Juniors. She serves as an elite coach, Tournament Coordinator, Camp and Clinic Director and Weekend Tournament Director. She was also an instrumental part of the staff that launched the club’s boys program, which grew from a single team to seven under her guidance.

Originally from San Diego, California, Kozlowski played club volleyball for Epic Volleyball Club and San Diego Volleyball Club. She competed at the NCAA Division I level for Saint Peter’s University (Jersey City, New Jersey) for two years before taking a break to start a family. Her passion for the sport brought her back to the court, as she returned to play for one season at Atlantic Cape Community College (Mays Landing, New Jersey) and later transferred to Rutgers University – Camden (Camden, New Jersey) to complete her collegiate career.

Kozlowski enjoys a good cup of coffee and spending time corralling her five children.
