BEL AIR, Md. - The Harford men's tennis team improved to 6-0 with a pair of weekend victories at home. The Fighting Owls swept Rhode Island 9-0 on Friday and defeated Nassau 6-3 on Saturday.

The Fighting Owls earned their first sweep of the season by defeating a Rhode Island team that had defeated Harford in both of its last two chances. Friday's redemtion sweep was sweeter after head coach

The bottom half of the team stepped up big and secured the sweep, as four players were playing out of normal positions in both singles and doubles.
Garrett Lange and
Marc Donars teammed up in No. 3 doubles for the 8-0 victory to help secure all three doubles points. Donars kept the streak going, winning No. 6 sinlges 6-0, 6-0.
In No. 2 singles,
Hunter McCawley picked up an impressive 6-1, 6-0 victory, while
Felipe dos Santos remained undefeated on the season with a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 1 singles.
Harford 6, Nassau 3
dos Santos and McCawley started the match off with an impressive 8-1 victory over a very tough No. 1 doubles pair from Nassau. That monster victory propelled the team to the 6-3 win.
The No. 2 doubles team for Harford remained untested and undefeated when Wright and
Corey Litke earned an 8-3 win.
In singles action, Harford's top thre of dos Santos, McCawley and Wright cruised to victory, and
Derek Hyde picked up a key win at No. 6 singles. Litke fell for the first time all season at No. 4 singles.
