BEL AIR, Md. - The Harford men's tennis team won both home matches of the week, while the women's tennis team fell in both contests. The Fighting Owls challenged Goucher and Cathlic on Wednesday and Friday.

On Wednesday, the men snuck by Goucher, 5-4, as sophomore Scott Hale came back to win his singles match after dropping the first set in a tiebreaker. Hale defeated Seth Manfield 6-7 (4-7), 6-2, 6-3. The women lost by a score of 6-3, as Sonora Ijdo, Alex Cox and Emilie Keith collected wins at singles.

On Friday, the men continued to roll, defeating Catholic, 5-4, as Farai Chiridza and Tyler Cook carried the Fighting Owls to victory with wins as No. 1 doubles and top two singles. The women fell 7-1-1, as Cox was victorious and Ijdo battled to a 7-7 tie that was called due to darkness.
