OXFORD, Ga. - The Harford tennis teams took down Oxford of Emory on Tuesday. The women's team upset the No. 23 ranked team in the nation, 5-3, and the men's team fought through adversity to win by the same 5-3 score.
The No. 1 women's doubles team of
Sonora Ijdo and
Alex Cox trailed 7-0 before turning it around to win the next nine game, 9-7.
On the men's side,
Soren Sibbesen injured his ankle but hobbled through the pain to win a crucial match while limping. Tyler Cookwon another match in tiebreaker to help take down the hosts.
Both the men and women lost to ABAC, 9-0.
