FREDERICK, Md. - The Harford volleyball team (16-3, 8-1 MD JUCO) lost a five-set match at Frederick (17-4, 8-2 MD JUCO) on Friday, 25-18, 21-25, 25-11, 23-25, 15-10. The Fighting Owls had won 20 of its last 21 MD JUCO contests entering the night.
The Cougars won the match between the two top teams in the conference. Four teams still have a shot at the MD JUCO Championship, and the Fighting Owls can clinch at least a share of the crown with a victory next week at Cecil or win it outright with another win at home against Howard.

Lauren Brown recorded 13 kills in the loss, but did not receive her normal help from the outside. She added 19 digs and six blocks for Harford, who totaled just 24 kills in the five sets, well below their season average.
Fabiana Della-Monica had 20 assists and
Victoria Karayinopulos chipped in with 24 digs.
The Fighting Owls travel to Cecil on Wednesday and host Howard on Friday.
