BALTIMORE - The Harford men's basketball team (5-5, 0-2 MD JUCO) played one of their best games of the year but fell to a last-minute triple at CCBC Dundalk on Friday, 72-69. The Fighting Owls shot 52.1 percent from the floor and led for a majority of the contest.
Freshmen Australians
Cameron Smith and
Hayden Jackson both played their best games of the season, combining for 32 points on 10-of-16 shooting, including 6-for-9 from behind the arc. Smith led Harford with a career-high 19 points while Jackson shot 5-of-6 and 2-for-2 from three for 12 points.
Jon Warren again filled the stat sheet with 15 points, seven assists and five rebounds.
Charlie Kwarteng chipped in with six points and a team-best eight rebounds.
Harford led 40-32 at the break but couldn't hold the lead on the road. The Fighting Owls return home to face Montgomery on Monday at 7:30 p.m.
