McHENRY, Md. - The newly formed Harford backcourt propelled the men's basketball team (10-12, 5-5 MD JUCO) to a crucial road win over Garrett (15-5, 7-3 MD JUCO) on Wednesday, 85-59.
Brandon Spain had 24 points, six rebounds and six assists while backcourt-mate
Jon Warren added 17 points, eight assists and five rebounds. The dynamic duo combind to shoot 16-for-23 from the floor and 7-for-12 from behind the arc. The Fighting Owls were 12-for-19 from 3-point land in the win.
The win helped Harford keep pace for a top-8 finish and berth into the newly formed MD JUCO Tournament. Entering the night, Harford was in a tie for eighth place, while Garrett was tied for second place.
Exzavier Cooper delivered a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds while
Cedric Hines connected for a dozen markers and five helpers.
Alie Kondeh rounded out the double-figure scorers with 10 points.
The Fighting Owls return home for a special Hall of Fame contest against Chesapeake on Saturday at 2 p.m.
