BEL AIR, Md. - Redshirt freshman guard
Aaron McDonald netted a career-high 28 points as the Harford men's basketball team downed Cecil in an MD JUCO win on Wednesday, 86-74. It was the Fighting Owls first game since December 18.
McDonald shot 12-of-19 from the floor and pulled in eight rebounds as Harford led throughout. The swingman nabbed four steals and hit four triples while handing out a pair of assists.
Jalen Thompson recorded his first double-double of the season with 13 points and a team-best 10 rebounds.
Davonte Williams scored a dozen and
Evason Ogbonna chipped in with 11 off the bench.
The Fighting Owls used a 24-9 run to break a 15-15 tie and take a commanding lead into the break. Most of the team's five losses have come after blown halftime leads, and the Seahawks mounted a rally early in the second half, cutting the lead to three midway through the final half, but Harford pieced together a 10-2 run to pull away and ice the victory.
