HOW IT HAPPENED
  • While the outcome of the game never really seemed in doubt, it was clear that the Cougars were unwilling to let Harford run-away with this game.
  • Harford got off to a strong start as Micah Till scored the first five points of the game on a tip-in and a three-point shot as he impressed in his first collegiate basketball game after playing football last year at North Carolina State. He finished the game with 20 points while also leading the team with 7 rebounds.
  • Forward Jalen Thompson also got off to a hot start as he hit a couple of early long range shots on his way to an 11 point performance. Thompson was also the dish-master of the game as he tallied 6 assists with much of the offense working through him.
  • The top star of the game has to go to Isaiah White, who scored 25 points on 10-17 shooting along with 3 massive blocks. One in particular stands out as he chased down a fast break attempt and flew through the air to swat the ball out of bounds in an incredible display of hustle and athleticism.
  • Returning star guard Aaron McDonald added 14 points and 5 rebounds as he continues to grow his legacy at Harford.
  • Freshman point guard Trent McCallum started his Fighting Owl career well with 11 points and 2 each of rebounds, assists, and steals.
GAME NOTES
  • Harford never trailed in the contest, leading by as much as 22 in the contest.
  • The Fighting Owls did a great job on the boards all night, collecting 13 offensive rebounds leading to 22 second chance points in the game.
  • Harford has now won their last four straight regular season openers.

UP NEXT
  • The Fighting Owls will have a quick turn around as they host Thomas Nelson out of Virginia on Thursday, November 3rd at 7 PM.
