HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Harford jumped out to an early lead with Aaron McDonald and Micah Till hitting their first three-point attempts.
  • The Fighting Owls shots just refused to fall and the Commodores pushed the pace of the game.
  • At halftime, Harford was down 42-25 and were well within striking range.
  • The second half was dominated by Gulf Coast as they quickly grew their lead to 30 before both teams started to clear out their benches.
  • Micah Till once again led the team in points with 12 thanks to a couple of three pointers and shooting 4-4 from the free throw line.
  • Jalen Thompson looked very confident with the ball in his hands as he scored 8 points along with 7 rebounds and showed a willingness to attack the Commodore's defense.

GAME QUOTES AND NOTES
  • Head Coach Mike Smelkinson: "I thought we played better offensively, we just couldn't get shots to fall. All things considered, it was a good road trip for us and will help us in the long run. We know that we have a lot of work to get where we need to be."
  • Forward Micah Till: "It was frustrating because we know we are capable of playing better then what we showed. Time to get back to the laboratory and get better as individuals and as a team."
  • Forward Jalen Thompson: "We shot very poorly today and we had a lot of open looks that we usually hit. We will have to get better and I know we will."
  • Harford shot just 29% from the floor as a team.
