BEL AIR, Md. - The No. 12 Harford men's tennis team continues to rewrite the record book this season. The Fighting Owls 16th win of the year extended the school victories record and freshman
Breno de Paula Lodi broke the doubles wins record with his 17th victory. Harford swept Elizabethtown on Sunday, 9-0.
Lodi improved to 17-5 at doubles this season, pairing up with
Renan Baldi for the 8-2 win on Sunday. He broke Felipe dos Santos' record of 16 wins set in 2011. Tomas Eduaro Parra Pozo (15), Baldi (15),
Xavier Graells (14) and
Pablo Safont Ferrer (14) are all on pace to break the 2011 mark as well.
Parra continued his hot streak at singles, earning a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 2 on Sunday. He improved to 17-3, two wins away from breaking the all-time singles win total in a single season set by Roger Torres in 2007. His 32 total victories on the season is two behind dos Santos 2011 mark of 34.
